There's something almost sacred in what Arkove does: take porcelain — one of the most honest materials there is — and shape it entirely by hand, from the first sketch to the final firing. Theresa Pazek and Paul Holland-Nell do it all themselves, under one roof, with nothing outsourced. In an era where almost everything is made faster and further away, that kind of honesty is rare, and it matters.
Working out of the Thuringian Forest since 2024, deliberately far from fast production cycles, they make objects for everyday life — mostly lighting — beautiful because they were actually made by hand, not despite it.
